The Rapid Exchange of Information System (RAPEX) is a European rapid alert system for consumer protection. Information on dangerous, or potentially dangerous, non-food consumer products from the member states is exchanged via RAPEX. This includes products containing noxious components or technical defects, such as electrical appliances with a risk of electric shock or ignition.
