State Secretary, Ministry of Culture
Dr Nikolas Hill was born in Hamburg in 1972. He studied law at the University of Hamburg and worked inter alia as adviser to the Deputy Controller of NDR (North German Broadcasting) and as Head of the Hamburg Senate Chancellery Planning Staff. He was closely involved in preparing the Elbphilharmonie project’s realisation. Since March 2009, Nikolas Hill has been State Secretary for Culture. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg Bau KG.
The Ministry of Culture, whose State Secretary Dr Hill is, is responsible within the Hamburg Senate for the construction and operation of the Elbphilharmonie.
