We present international contemporary art with a focus on concept art from Europe, the US and the Middle East. We do not only successfully represent renowned artists like Robert Barry, whom we recently exhibited in Hamburg, Sol LeWitt and Ulrich Rückriem, but also attach great importance to the work with young artists who just graduated from academies. Several of our young artists emerged through our assistance. We work directly with all artists named in our list. We are most interested in artists that take historical and political issues into consideration and are therefore proud to work with Hans Haacke and Walid Raad. In 2005 we opened a second gallery space in Beirut, Lebanon. We are one of the very few galleries in the Arab world with proven track record on the international art scene. Our engagement in Beirut is a bridging of East and West: We do not only observe and encourage young artists from the Arab Countries but also support them by showing their works in our Hamburg gallery space and on international art fairs. In 2007 we presented the Lebanese concept artist Akram Zaatari in our Hamburg gallery space and in an Art Statements booth at Art Basel.
On the other hand we invite western artists like Elger Esser and Michelangelo Pistoletto or the young Germans Stephan Mörsch and Felix Schramm to come and work in Lebanon, contributing to exhibitions or holding lectures and workshops.
